Globalization emphasizes the need for the development of a set of global standards for optimum corporate governance. Developing and transition economies must make efforts in establishing a suitable system and institutions favouring worldwide acceptable corporate governance practices. Whether corporate governance a myth for developing and transition economies is a crucial question that is raised often. In this article , the author discusses the current scenario along with various issues and challenges in the implementation of suitable corporate governance measures in developing and transition economies.Downloads
