Abstract

It was noticed that Indian companies were lacking in effort to use financial ratios to explain the financial statements in the annual reports because financial ratios are considered as one of the most important tools of analysis and its inclusion in the annual report brings down information asymmetry. RATIO analysis is among the most popular and widely used tools of financial analysis (Subramanyam and Wild, 2014). It helps in comprehending financial results and trends over a period of time.
