Abstract

Digital currency is being extensively used for various transactions especially to settle e-commerce transactions. Bitcoin is one such digital or virtual currency that can be generated through complex computer software systems based on strong cryptographic principles. It is a peer to peer digital currency network, based on an open source protocol which makes use of a public transaction log. The present research has been undertaken to study and examine the genesis and implication of the circulation of Bitcoins.
