Abstract

We need to secure energy resources to sustain us and our future generations for a long time into the future and most importantly be able to do so without harming the environment. The power sector has been suffering from serious problems which were identified as far back as fifteen years ago. Though a number of corrective measures have been taken, they have yet to yield the desired results. The outcome is that the power sector faces an imminent crisis in almost all states.
