Technological enabler such as big data analytics,Internet of Things (IoT) and advancement in computing and informatics make possible to match varying supply and demand of electricity through smart grid technology. Introduction of time of day (ToD) tariff and smart matters with regulatory backup brings advantages for all stakeholders. Consumers can be in winning position way by of rescheduling their power consumption requirement and reducing energy bills. This open a new window of opportunity for cost and management accountants to offer core expertise in rescheduling / reengineering production and processes of commercial entities, rendering inputs to regulators in pricing mechanism and auditing of information security systems.
