This article elaborates on the changes that have taken place in the realm of infrastructure investment in India and its mode of financing. In India in the initial stages of development, the Government played a dominant role in infrastructure financing. Today, India gives top priority to the Private-Public Participation mode of financing infrastructure. Considering the importance of infrastructure, new schemes like PM Gati Shakti, the National Infrastructure Pipeline, and National Monetization Pipeline have been introduced by the government to give a fillip to the infrastructure sector in India. All these programs will enrich the ‘Amrit-Kaal’ to take India to the galaxy of developed countries in the world.Downloads
