Now just about anyone can get a mobile connection in a matter of minutes and start communicating with the world, that too at cheap prices. This has been made possible due to the tremendous growth of telecom facilities within the country. Behind this phenomenal success story of Indian telecom is the telecom tower industry which lies at the heart of telecom services. In this article we will review some of the key aspects of this critical infrastructure, some of its major challenges and the latest Government initiatives.
