The year 2022 marks the 125th birth anniversary of this Indian revolutionary who had an indisputably major contribution towards attaining political freedom from the colonial rule of Great Britain. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose did not consider going back to a bullock cart economy after independence and shook off his initial hesitance with machine based manufacturing for a modern India that would develop economic commissions for reconstruction. These were perhaps the first concept of short-run and long-run economic planning programmes in the same spirit as socialist countries would choose at the time. His vision for an independent India had without exception taken into account several economic issues which he felt were of supreme importance if India had to rise from the ashes.Downloads
