In India agricultural insurance has been operating in India for a very long period of time, but it faced two major challenges. Firstly, low level of participation from the farmers and secondly continuous loss in operation for the implementing agency. These two limitations caused too much of experimentation with agricultural insurance in India. This paper attempts to study majorly these two aspects of agricultural insurance in India.Downloads
