In this article, the author lobbies for a simplified approach to costing, addressing the requirements of small enterprises, and takes a cue from the India centric approach of the famous “Parta†system. The one time cost sheet for each product, subject to updates on a need basis, tries to address the need for daily performance monitoring of costs and course correction from an engineering based approach.Downloads
