Abstract

An accounting system may help the farmers to give the required information to receive assistance, subsidies, reliefs and Concessions. This will play a vital role in flourishing the prawn farming and developing the economy. The level of education of the average and marginal prawn farmers appears to be the main barrier for adoption of an aquaculture accounting system.
