This survey proposes an Index of NPA Management Efficiency (INPA) to measure the efficiency of banks to manage NPAs instead of the present practice of ranking Indian domestic commercial banks on the basis of proposed index scores. The biggest challenge for the banks in India is the efficient management of non-performing assets (NPAs). NPAs adversly affect the profitability, liquidity and solvency.Downloads
