Microfinance plays an important role in ensuring financial inclusion among the poor. However, commercialization of microfinance in conjunction with weak regulations in the Micro Finance Industry has created a fertile ground for perpetrating fraud which is detrimental to the sustainability of Microfinance Institutions in our country. The present paper is an attempt to highlight the significance of Forensic Audit as a potent tool for fraud detection and prevention in the Microfinance Industry.Downloads
