Financial Inclusion and Micro Financing in India

Since more than 52 years have elapsed from the time the commercial banks were nationalised in India, almost 50% of the adult population has no access to formal banking and financial services till date. Either the individuals do not have any savings or assets, or have no bank accounts or any financial advice or cannot afford to pay for such advice. This article focuses on various aspects of financial inclusions, followed by micro financing as an alternative delivery mechanism to meet the necessities of these population.Downloads
