In the present paper, the distinctive nature of artificial intelligence (AI) and its revolutionizing impact have been presented. The replication of the phenomenon of human intelligence by AI in functional areas have been observed. Its importance as a central policy issue in different countries, and its growth in spending have been documented. Applications of AI in various business areas have been brought forward to appreciate its all pervasive impact on human and the society.Downloads
