National Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Programme
Today India is one of the youngest nations in the world with more than 62% of the population in the working age group (15-59 years), and more than 54% of the total population below 25 years of age. India needs to equip its workforce with employable skills and knowledge so that the youth can participate productively to make India a developed economy and to plays a key role to India’s global competitiveness. As per “The India Skill Report 2014” 60% of total population available for working and contributing towards GDP, but out of the total pool only 25% is capable of being used by the market which means there would be a demand-supply gap of 82-86% in the core professions. But current education system neither at all focus on training young people in employable skills that can provide them employment opportunities nor grooming them for the future entrepreneur.
At this outset, MOU has also been signed by the Institute with National Skill Development Agency (NSDA), an autonomous body of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India, to enable offering various collaborative activities to promote and encourage skill and entrepreneurship development in India. The idea is to promote entrepreneurship and skill development for creating self-employment through enterprise creation pan India basis with increased participation of youth, women, disabled and other disadvantaged sections and thus narrowing down the gap between employment and unemployment position of the nation. The scope of this project is to facilitate creation of training/ workshop/ seminar infrastructure up to implementation phase for the budding entrepreneurs through networking amongst various colleges / universities /institutes and other interested parties. The Institute proposes to train 30 students each year from each college and has a target of covering 200 colleges throughout India in the first year totaling 6000 students and projects at least 50% of students i.e. 3000 students would become successful future entrepreneurs of the nation.
Now the Institute announces its first initiative for the College/University students by introducing 200 hours certification programme on “NSEDP” - National Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Programme. Our main mottos is to skill development and promote entrepreneurship for creating self-employment through enterprise creation pan India basis with increased participation of youth from College/University and thus narrowing down the gap between employment & unemployment position of the nation. We also facilitate to create industry training/ workshop/ seminar infrastructure up to implementation phase for the budding entrepreneurs through networking and research study on entrepreneurship and skill development followed by publications.
