Corporate Governance in India has come of age as the corporate houses are practicing governance in line with the standards prescribed from time to time by the Companies Act and the SEBI guidelines. This article assesses the quality of corporate governance standards and present practices in two major large cap listed Indian corporate houses representing FMCG industry based on their Annual Reports for the financial year 2018- 2019. The study is expected to serve as a pointer to the effectiveness of current corporate governance practices in these companies.Downloads
